Dressember!! A month of dresses.

I found this idea on a blog i don't even remember which one. I was browsing around and came across this.
Dressember!
Were you only were dresses for the month of December.
How cool is that =)
You can like them on Facebook and follow on twitter
If you click on the image below it'll take you to Blythe Hill blog. Follow  her!!! Her blog is amazing.
Anywho, I decided to participate and see what happens!!
Hope you all join in on the fun too.

Dressember is: a month of dresses
The rules are simple: wear dresses all month long
(with exceptions of  pajamas, work-out, job requirements..)
You're allowed to repeat dresses
You are NOT allowed to wear skirts
(unless it's over a dress)
Take pictures each day and post them daily weekly on your blog and to flickr group page
If you like what you're reading, then email blythehill@gmail.com with subject line "Yes to Dressember!"
and of course your blog url

This is largely on the honor's system.
No taking multiple pics of yourself on the same day,
then prancing around in pants the rest of the month!
That would be cheating. Duh.
Besides, you'd be missing the spirit of Dressember:
reclaiming/embracing/celebrating femininity!
And just being fun and not taking life so seriously all the time.

Holiday Traditions

Hey dolls,
Today is day 2 of Amber and Neely's Fabulous Holiday blog challenge!!

We're talking about holiday traditions.
Growing up we would have Christmas Eve Dinner with friends and family kind of like how you would have dinner on Christmas day. At midnight we would be allowed to open presents! I always believed in Santa but I guess my parents just did things differently. I didn't mind =) We also watch Christmas movies and go every year to see the Christmas lights at the Seneca State Creek Park.

Since, I had Little Miss I decided to do things differently with her. So, now we have Christmas eve dinner but we can only open up 1 present. Santa comes and visits when she goes to bed. We also read "T'was the night before Christmas" and leave Santa cookies and milk =) We have a BIG ihop style breakfast and open up presents Christmas morning!! We still go and see the Christmas lights at the state park. I'm thinking of taking her to see The Nutcracker this year but that's still undecided.... We also visit Santa for pictures!!

Fabulous Holiday blog challenge

Day 1
Best gift ever received for Christmas!!

This is tricky I could go as far back as a little kid when I got my doll that I still have to this day. I had to wash her recently because little miss plays with her and I sometimes get a tad bit overprotective!

or now It would be the ipod that I got a few years ago from my ex. I gave it to my brother when things eneded and I have no idea what he did with it.

BLOG SWAP REVEAL!

BLOG SWAP REVEAL!

The final part of the Plenty to be Thankful swap and blog challenge is the swap!
My partner is Jenna from step by step
Eveyehting was wrapped nicely and the card is soo cute

this little fella is little miss favorite!!
the minute I opened the package she grabbed him and walked away to play =)

The reindeer is an airfreshner that smells like cinnamon. Took some convincing to little miss that it's not a toy. Then there's the elf! Inside the penguin is a body lotion and body wash that smells like caramel!! It's delicious =) The pink lotion is cranberry and the other pink shower gel is berries. There's also a glitter nail polish in Christmas colors!! She added strings or yarn for friendship braceletes that I want to do (it's on my 101 in 1001 list) and lastly, a sequin pouch that came with a lipgloss that I absolutly love!!!

I hope you can see everything that I mentioned above...

I’m THANKful For The Special People In My Life!

I’m THANKful For The Special People In My Life!

I grew up being extremely family oriented! We bicker, we fight, we cry, we laugh but at the end of the day we all love each other.

 {my mom's 49th Birthday last year}

I'm thankful that I have the greatest parents I could ever ask for!! They've helped in my worst. They are my biggest cheerleaders.  They have big hearts and care so much. always looking at the brighter things in life.

{Brother's 20th Birthday 2010}

I'm thankful for my brother who at times is a pain like any little brothers are but wouldn't want to change him for anything! He says stupid things to make us all laugh when things get quiet and always looking out for people he cares about.

And of course, lastly but definitely not the least my daughter, Little Miss. Who came to my life unexpectedly but change it for the better. She brings joy to my life and always has a smile on her face =) She's taught me so much in so little time. She's such a loving and caring little person!!!

I’m THANKful For Thanksgiving Traditions!

I’m THANKful For Thanksgiving Traditions!

We don't have any huge Thanksgiving traditions aside from
Watching the football game and I don't think I ever missed A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I'm pretty much positive we watch it every year =) I want to see the Thanksgiving parade in person one year. That would be fun and different!!!

I'm trying to think of traditions I can start for my daughter to grow up with and have memories of...
 I'll take any ideas =)

I’m THANKful For The Blogoverse!

I’m THANKful For The Blogoverse!

The blog community is amazing! This is my 2nd blog I started the first I deleted because I had family issues and thought I should concentrate on what was going on but I've made friends the first time around (not in person) and they helped me throughout everything even with the little details I provided! The 2nd time around isn't any different. I haven't met anyone in person but you're always there helping out with words of wisdom, encouragement, congratulations and so much more! You start to know everybody through their writing.  I've seen numerous people become good friends through the blog world!! Most people wouldn't understand but you have to be a part of this community to understand how strong and connected it is! =)

 I’m THANKful For My Hometown!

This is probably one of my most favorite topics
I get to write about two places that a grew to love and call home =)

The first place is where I was born and raised until I was 7 years old!!
It's where half of my family live and it's paradise.

Caraguatatuba Sao Paulo in Brasil
also known as Caragua

I wish I knew more about the local places.
The forest - Serra do Mar is how you get to the city below. They start of as dual lanes and eventually become single lanes. It has a high population of tourism in the summer ( Brasil summer)
We have a total of 17 beaches along the coast. It's pretty much amazing!!

I've always been curious how life would be to live by the beach. =)

and then where I've been raised up until now
Maryland
Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, Damascus
All in Mongomery County
We moved around a lot but the State is what I love!!

We're famous for our Chesapeake bay blue crabs

There's so many places you can visit but my personal favorite's are:
Ocean City
Assategue Island
Chincotegue Island

We're minutes from downtown DC, Virginia

Famous faces from MD:
Babe Ruth
Frank Zappa
Francis Scott Key
David Hasselhouf
Jada pinket Smith
Ana Faris
Penn Badgley
Mike Rowe
......

Hope you enjoyed a little sneak peak of the places I call home =)

Hello, November.

Halloween

Hope you all had a
SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN

My parents had a halloween party with there friends Saturday night
no babysitter means joining in on the festivities with them
Little Miss didn't like it too much, especially the ones in the mask...
we had old widows, monsters, clowns, madonna, devils, vampirres, bugs and much more!!!

there's a lot more but you get the idea....

Sunday Little Miss and I went to a Halloween party for little ones at a friends house
I would post pictures but I dont know if the kids parents would be OK
She wore her cheerleader outfit that day
(last year costume)

On Halloween we went trick or treating in the neighborhood!!!
came back with a bag full of sweets =)

My little princess
she was suppose to be a fairy but we forgot her wings so she ended up being a princess
